Pros

1. You can directly work on projects.

2. You can accumulate experience in government tenders.

3. The salary is pretty good.

4. It’s quite relaxed when there are no projects.

5. The company is small and has no middle managers, so everything is communicated directly with the boss.

Cons

1. The boss often calls impromptu meetings right before the end of the workday.

2. One person has to handle multiple roles.

3. Projects are unstable, and the company lacks the ability to take on more profitable or larger projects.

4. (Not sure whether this has improved) The company creates installation art, but previously hired designers were usually general graphic artists or outsourced, so its creativity and aesthetic sense were weaker than those of its competitors.

5. There is no clear promotion or salary adjustment system.

6. There is also no system for submitting payment requests. One colleague is responsible for it, and occasionally your application may be overlooked.

I resigned four years ago, and my position was in planning. I don’t know whether these shortcomings have since been improved, but I’m sharing my experience for reference.

The boss was satisfied with my performance, so I passed the probationary period and received a raise in less than two months. I received another raise six months later, but after noticing several aspects that I felt were unstable, I resigned after working there for nearly a year. Overall, the boss was quite generous toward people he considered capable. However, the company relied solely on its previously successful projects to maintain its reputation and mainly handled government tenders. The company had only five employees, and the planning staff had to submit bids and participate in tender presentations, so you could gain a lot of experience, following a project from start to finish, including the construction process and completion. However, the company operated by using one project to sustain another, and there were several occasions when payments to vendors were overdue. Also, because there were so few employees, the company could prepare only one tender at a time, which could make its income a cause for concern.
