Interview process

The interview was held at the headquarters in Banqiao. The meeting before mine was delayed by 30 minutes, making the interviewee wait for 30 minutes. The interview itself wasn't even as long as the wait~

After finally sitting down to talk, they said I was too young and wouldn't be able to manage these senior uncles and aunties, some of whom had been working there for 20–30 years!

They advised me to start as a store team leader instead, saying that the store bonuses were higher. The person handling my salary calculation even seemed envious.

But... I had written all of this basic information truthfully on my résumé. Why waste both sides' time on an interview?

They also required interviewees to provide detailed family and personal background information on their résumés, and even forced them to fill in their current salary. The HR representative was late and failed to keep the appointment. Does an HR representative who shows such disrespect toward interviewees treat us as mere KPIs?

A: Because shift work would give me an irregular schedule.

I changed jobs precisely because I don't want to work shifts, and then you tell me to start as a store team leader???

Interview advice

HR is a microcosm of the company. You definitely won't be treated well after joining, so just run for the hills!

It's a family business with a very strong traditional Taiwanese flavor. HR themselves said that many long-time employees are stubborn and unwilling to change, yet they expect us newcomers to correct them.
