Pros

The colleagues in my cohort were easy to get along with, the HR staff were very nice, there were snacks as a daily reward for everyone's hard work, and lunch and finishing time were very punctual.

Cons

The company recruited under the name “Yafeide,” so I didn’t notice anything strange before starting the job. I strongly recommend that everyone check the Google reviews before deciding whether to join!

However, as other reviews have mentioned, the training teaches you 20% and expects you to know 80%. Some senior colleagues said that it was fine and that this was acceptable, but more senior colleagues or supervisors would then say it was not. For someone just starting out in customer service, this can be very confusing and may even lead to self-doubt.

They kept reminding everyone to tell them if they really felt the job was unsuitable and said they would respect our decision. But when I actually raised the issue, they kept trying desperately to retain me. If you really want to leave, you must be firm and maintain your position, because I raised it three times before I finally succeeded. They even had an associate manager come and make big promises to me (my previous employer had also made grand promises; after experiencing that, I learned not to believe them). Sigh, it was a very difficult process.

Most frustratingly, because they kept thinking that I had serious problems, they took the initiative to listen to my call recordings. After a senior colleague reprimanded me, the supervisor said they wanted to review my calls, and then said that what I said lacked storytelling. I thought to myself: I learned this from your training, and you’re saying I lack storytelling? (They thought I had major problems but still kept refusing to let me leave. This was because they were genuinely very short-staffed. Even the line receiving the most calls was often complained about for being difficult to get through, which shows just how understaffed they were.)

In short, I noticed that my other colleagues were quite adept because they all had similar customer-service experience. If you have similar experience and are also a clear logical thinker, I believe they will appreciate your professionalism. Someone like me, without much professional training, may not be as well regarded.
