HR and the hiring department clearly communicated with the job applicant, but the hiring manager’s control over the situation was inadequate.
The job posting on 104 listed a monthly salary of NT$27,000–40,000, but during the interview the supervisor explicitly said the probationary salary was only NT$30,000–32,000. After the probationary period, there might be a salary increase of NT$2,000–3,000, with no guarantee—it would depend on performance... When asked about my expected salary, the interviewer kept repeating that I was asking for too much.... But the lower end of my stated range was clearly within the range they had posted on 104... It feels like another case where what was written differs from what was said.
If you can’t offer a salary of NT$40,000, don’t post it on 104 to mislead people and waste job applicants’ time.
