Pros

In addition to 3D exhibition modeling, you also need to know graphic design. The supervisor said that he is an adjunct university lecturer and has fairly strict requirements; sometimes he can be a little emotional. The work can be quite frustrating, but looking back afterward, this job helped me understand what "high-end graphic design" means and improved my personal sense of taste.

Cons

1. The company designs department-store displays, mostly large-scale displays. In practice, the details involved in producing small-display components are not actually as extensive as the "attention to detail" discussed during the interview.

2. There is no overtime pay; you can only take compensatory leave. Projects are simply impossible to finish. In addition to 3D design, designers also have to handle graphic design (brand promotional materials, discount coupons, peripheral products—everything is handled by one person), coordinate with vendors and communicate revisions, and go on-site. Since all department-store installations take place from 10:00 p.m. to midnight—or overnight—there was one time at the Zhongxiao SOGO site when I supervised the work outdoors all day without sleeping. The on-site installation duties were not mentioned during the interview. Every one or two weeks, you have to visit major department-store chains for installations. Designers only handle installations within Taipei City; dedicated staff handle installations outside the city.

3. You have to help take care of the company's cat litter and clean up its feces. This was the first time in my career that I had to scoop litter for a company's cat. The cat has quite a personality, and scooping the litter really smells terrible. (I had never owned a cat before; the first time I scooped litter was for the company's cat.)
