The purchasing and production factories are located on Huanhe Road. There is parking, the company offers good benefits, and it often organizes activities on holidays.
Purchasing is divided into sourcers and buyers. The Director of Purchasing was promoted from plant manager and cannot demonstrate the decisiveness expected of purchasing; instead, purchasing is only required to accommodate every department. This includes having the sourcer negotiate with suppliers when sales suddenly cancels an order. Inventory is generated by PMC according to sales requirements, but if the inventory becomes obsolete, the sourcer must handle it. The sourcer must also handle the first delivery date after an order is placed. The first delivery date is the most difficult to negotiate, yet the sourcer has to handle everything. In principle, the sourcer is responsible for price negotiations and introducing a second source, while following up on delivery dates is the buyer's responsibility. In the end, the sourcer has to do everything, so it is no wonder that the sourcer turnover rate is high.
