Don't let the new office environment blind you.

A family business with no staffing plan that recruits arbitrarily and inexplicably lays off employees. “Layoffs have nothing to do with performance, only personal preference.”

(They recruit you this month, then lay you off next month under the pretext of business contraction—absolutely unbelievable! They waste other people's valuable time. Wasn't the business downturn something they should have known before recruiting people? This is nothing more than an unscrupulous company's excuse to cover up its own wrongdoing.)
