The atmosphere of the interview conversation was pretty good.

Many job postings stay up there 365 days a year. Some may have been posted since I entered the workforce—possibly for more than 7 or 8 years by now.

They really like asking people to come in for interviews, with an average of at least 2–3 rounds. Honestly, can interviewing someone that many times really reveal their character, actual work ability, and attitude? It’s difficult. You may even end up finding people who are good at “performing.” People who genuinely have the ability to get things done may not necessarily be good at expressing themselves, and may even be prone to nervousness.

Rather than using a whole host of cumbersome procedures to find people who are good at presenting themselves but unsuitable for the job, it would be better to simplify the process and let more people come in to give it a try. That might make it easier to find the talent they are looking for.
