It’s roughly the kind of work civil servants do, but the compensation is much worse.
At the time, I worked as a clerk at an administrative agency, but I have since resigned.
You have to work shifts during the Lunar New Year. There is no red-envelope bonus; you can only claim it as regular overtime.
You have to work shifts on Saturdays, and on Sundays, depending on whether there are events, your supervisor may require you to work overtime.
The monthly salary is NT$28,000, made up of a base salary of just over NT$15,000 plus various small allowances to reach NT$28,000.
The year-end bonus is advertised as 1.5 months’ salary, but it is not calculated based on NT$28,000 at all.
The seniority system is very strict. Even if you want a promotion, you have to wait at least three years, and you only have a chance of being promoted one grade if your supervisor writes and submits a formal recommendation for you.
The monthly salary increase for moving up one grade is only +NT$1,500!!! ^_^
