The HR staff did not seem to know what kind of person the manager was looking for. During the interview with the manager, I felt that the manager provided very clear requirements. However, HR seemed to be making things up; perhaps they are not familiar with the food industry or there were communication difficulties. In any case, I spent more than NT$2,000 on the high-speed rail and took a day off work only to waste my time. Before the interview, it would have been better to confirm by phone with HR exactly what requirements the manager had. At the time, I thought that HR at such a large company should be very experienced and work well with the managers, but apparently I was expecting too much. I have no complaints about the manager; HR was the problem.
