Pros

You may get to see well-known entertainers; last time I even took a photo with Alan Kuo~

The employee purchase discounts are very generous, and there is no quantity limit, so you can buy as much as you want~

As for working overtime on weekdays, I personally am quite happy to earn overtime pay. But I have never worked overtime on Saturdays or Sundays, so I listed this as a pro.

Cons

The interview and subsequent work are both at a warehouse in the Wugu Industrial Park. It is extremely difficult to park a scooter there. On the day of my interview, I spent a lot of time just looking for a parking space. Also, the new factory does not appear on Google Maps at all. The building allows you to apply for a parking space in the basement, but the route is extremely narrow, and the elevator is also very far away.

On the first day of work, there is an orientation at the Sanchong headquarters. At around 11 a.m., the HR representative will take everyone to the Wugu warehouse together.

After HR introduces the environment, the supervisor will begin assigning departments, and the team leaders of each group will take us to our workstations.

Job duties:

I was assigned to the inventory-counting department. The team leader said that at least 100 boxes of goods arrive every day. Each box is seriously heavy as hell, but there are hydraulic pallet trucks available. After the team leader checks the box count, we begin counting the goods.

We take the clothes out of the boxes and count the quantities. This requires constantly bending over.

After counting, we sort the goods, placing items of the same style and size together, and then pack and seal the boxes.

We repeat the same actions over and over. There is never an end to the incoming goods each day; the volume is really huge.

The warehouse work itself is not difficult, but the company requires efficiency. Mistakes do not result in wage deductions, but they affect KPI scores. KPIs affect year-end bonuses. According to HR, after the three-month probation period, raises are based on performance, but I personally did not make it to three months.

My team leader was quite nice. Sometimes they forgot parts of the procedure, but they would also come over to help me when appropriate.

The overall environment really was quite good, and the salary was also much higher than what is typically offered elsewhere.

There was a lot of overtime, but since working in the food-service industry before was also extremely demanding, and I had worked rotating shifts with days off scheduled irregularly, I actually adapted quite quickly.

I worked there for almost two months, then resigned because I wanted to go back to college.

I saw many cynical posts downstairs and thought they were pretty hilarious.

The interviewer clearly told us about the overtime during the interview.

I came to work there only after agreeing to it myself, didn’t I?

Why wait until after resigning to complain that the hours were too long? It really makes me wonder if they have split personality disorder…
