The boss and colleagues are fairly easy to get along with.
1. It is impossible to leave work on time because meetings are always held 10–15 minutes after the end of the workday. Not only are there meetings before leaving work, but there is also a half-hour meeting before work starts. There are endless meetings every day, but the content is usually more or less the same.
2. You may need to visit exhibitions or go to Taichung to organize the warehouse on holidays, but there will be no allowance or compensatory time off.
3. Administrative assistants are doing entirely sales-related work, but their salaries are not the same as those of sales staff. During exhibitions, planning assistants may even be required to edit videos by the very next day. At this company, assistants are easily taken advantage of.
4. The company’s contact lists are extremely outdated, and the boss does not want you to spend work hours developing new leads.
5. Bonuses are paid quarterly and handled very reluctantly. If you leave midway without having gone through an exhibition, the bonus will be reduced to zero.
If you are genuinely interested in the exhibitions industry, I recommend applying to another exhibition company. Business development will be easier there, and the company systems will likely be more established.
