Workplace reviews and discussion: 西米創意設計有限公司

The colleagues are all quite friendly.

Although it is nominally a design company specializing in exhibitions, the owners’ level of professionalism and the actual exhibition results are extremely poor.

1. As a company that has handled numerous government tenders, it nevertheless has no understanding whatsoever of the proper exhibition preparation and installation processes. Instead of using exhibition simulations to plan everything in detail in advance, they suddenly demanded, in an emergency the day before the exhibition opened, that the lighting colors and projection methods be adjusted. They forced the on-site staff to first lay out the flooring materials and display items for the female owner to inspect, then substantially changed the original setup, and made the staff buy the items she wanted at the last minute that same day, completely wasting everyone’s time.

2. In addition, they do not understand proper customer service. While waiting for the guests of honor to enter the exhibition hall during the opening press conference, they suddenly decided to test the microphone. When the guests entered and viewed the projection, they suddenly demanded that the volume be turned up, even though it was already loud enough to be heard outside the exhibition hall. They apparently did not even know that adjusting the volume would be visible in the projection. This level of professionalism, combined with their last-minute princess-like behavior, is truly pitiful.

3. The exhibition we worked on together was grandly called “XR,” yet VR headsets were used only during the first thirty seconds before entering the theater. The video content also failed to provide an effective introduction to the background of the military dependents’ village, making it feel like a gimmick. Even though the theater’s actual projection was produced in collaboration with a well-known director and actors, the content itself was lackluster.
