Pros

Flexible 30-minute work schedule

Cons

I had a dream that I worked for a company where parking was extremely difficult. The two bosses were brothers, and everyone in their family worked there too—it looked like a family business.

The work plans changed on a whim, and they wanted to save money on everything. The air conditioning had been under repair for several months and still could not be fixed, so much so that I woke up drenched in sweat, with the entire bed soaked.

There was no overtime pay, and the year-end bonus formula was pitifully stingy. Anyone who could stand working there after receiving that amount of money must have done something good in a past life.

The HR department's competence is beyond comment. They could even miscalculate the most basic number of annual leave days, leaving employees to keep track of them and demand them on their own.

When I realized I had slept for too long and wanted to get up, I submitted my resignation. Since I still had unused annual leave, I wanted to take all of it before my last day. HR said the company could not let me take leave that way and had the right to call me in to work. They also said that if I worked until the middle of the month, my unused leave would be converted into cash. I was afraid they would keep making me work until I never woke up again, so I compromised and signed the paperwork. That afternoon, I said I still hoped to work until the end of the month, but I was refused again. Knowing nothing about the Labor Standards Act, I could only go look it up and ask about it. She then blew up.

I was so frightened that I quickly woke up. It had all been a nightmare—and then there was nothing more to it.
