Initially, the company’s CIO contacted me for an interview. We talked for one or two hours, and she asked how much salary I wanted. She said there was no guaranteed 14 months of pay, so I asked for N. She said she could offer me N+5.
After the interview, she emailed me questions about information on my résumé.
(Damn it—everything was already written in my 104 résumé and in the personnel information form the company asked me to fill out, but she didn’t read any of it beforehand and only looked at it after the interview??)
Two or three days later, the company’s HR called me and said that salary determination was HR’s job, and that the company did guarantee 14 months of pay—the CIO had misspoken.
HR said they would discuss my salary with the CIO again, but the next day they sent me a rejection notice through 104.
They didn’t even dare say, “Sorry, there was an error in our internal process that caused you inconvenience.”
I have no idea what the CIO and HR at this company are doing.
The CIO also said she had been there for two years… yet she didn’t even understand the company’s benefits or recruitment process.
HR was also very rude.
From all this, you can tell that this company is terrible and has no systems or procedures at all.
HR and the CIO are both making a mess of things.
