Pros

If you want to learn how to engage in factional infighting, this is an ideal learning environment.

Cons

1. The boss emphasizes that factionalism is prohibited in the company, but in reality, he himself is the head of a faction.

2. The company expects employees to “pay to play,” with amounts starting at least in the six figures. If you pay, they treat you like a treasure; if you don’t, they treat you like a dog.

3. The boss wants to control everything but is extremely incompetent. Many senior consultants recruited from major companies have repeatedly shaken their heads at his decisions.

4. The boss and vice president both have extremely poor emotional control. They will yell at you even if the restroom floor gets wet.

5. Management never takes responsibility and only does the things they personally like, dumping the unpleasant tasks on those below and leaving them to figure it out.

6. They spend huge amounts decorating the office, buying large motorcycles and chauffeur-driven cars, but cannot even afford to hire a cleaner.

7. They claim to be a startup, but in practice their thinking is more traditional than that of established industries. If you do not work overtime, they make all kinds of insinuations that you are not serious about your work; if you offer suggestions about things you consider unreasonable, they say you do not respect your supervisor.

8. The vehicles they make are packaged very attractively, but the inside is extremely makeshift. Frame tolerances are corrected by hammering with an iron mallet; unoptimized wiring is shoved randomly into any available opening. After the vehicles are built, they are never professionally road-tested, and they ship them before completing many of the required certifications.

9. The office décor looks beautiful but is difficult to use. In many places, they even add strange walls or decorations that end up violating fire safety regulations—just to improve the “feng shui.”

10. They recruited many capable senior employees, yet show no respect for professional expertise at all, driving many people away until only those who have paid in and are trapped, unable to leave, remain.
