No deductions for company-provided meals; 10% off purchases at the Dashun showroom; NT$2,000 in holiday gift money after completing three months; gift boxes on holidays such as Mother’s Day.
The company employs some strange managers, such as Deputy Manager Jiang at the manufacturing site, who knows virtually nothing about weld seams or drawings, yet was still promoted from section chief to deputy manager. Deputy Manager Guo in production control is even more laughable—he pretends to know everything, likes to take on tasks but also likes to complain, and cries and runs away after being scolded by the boss a few times, only to come back full of energy! At a normal company, the probationary period is three months and salaries increase in the fourth month. At this company, the fourth month is when the evaluation takes place, and the salary increase starts in the fifth month. During the salary-increase interview, they say it will be at least NT$2,000–6,000, but in the end it is always only NT$1,000! They say the year-end bonus will be at least two months’ salary, but you won’t see a cent. The boss knows virtually nothing about the industry and makes reckless investments whenever there is money. The profits from this plant are all used to support other money-losing plants, so don’t expect a year-end bonus if you join—just take what you hear with a grain of salt. The boss really needs to improve his EQ. When there are no orders, he blames the employees; when there are orders and profits, he does not share them with the employees. Having documents thrown at you and being loudly berated are everyday occurrences. There are also endless meetings: every matter, big or small, requires an immediate meeting. His catchphrase is “launch,” but in reality nothing gets resolved. I sincerely suggest that the boss step back from day-to-day management and hire a professional manager to run the company. Otherwise, everyone has motivation, but everyone is held back. Why does the company have no orders? The reason is clear to everyone.
