A company that has been around for over 20 years, yet has no decent systems or SOPs. Ask anyone a question and they know nothing. It is full of people who are experts at passing the buck. Turnover is extremely high, with the average tenure being three to six months. Those who stay have powerful backers and are untouchable. Ability is unimportant; you need to know how to flatter people. The work atmosphere is poor, and departments are antagonistic. People do not even greet one another at work. Most importantly, proposals are finalized today and changed again tomorrow. Every week, the previous decision is overturned. Working hours are compressed to an extreme, and you often end up offending external vendors or partners, sacrificing your entire network. Some managers do not manage anything, or only meddle in bizarre matters; they also often shield people in their own departments. Beware of certain members of the favored inner circle (not old, yet already highly cunning) who may scheme, sabotage things, spread rumors, and push you into a pitfall
