First, the position I interviewed for and was hired into was Administrative Assistant / Warehouse Management at the Taipei branch.
1. The vice president is very nice.
2. You can leave work on time.
The company does not have a process or SOP for onboarding new employees. The other four administrative assistants at the company have all been with the company for several years and are highly experienced. They are generally willing to teach, but the training is very disorganized: one moment they teach you one thing, and the next moment something else. Basically, they teach you whatever they are currently doing if they think you can learn it. The learning process is very painful. Even if you follow your own notes to complete a task, there is a high chance you will make mistakes because some details or special situations are known only to experienced employees—how could a newcomer know them? In addition, each of the administrative assistants is actually very busy and has little time to train you. Sometimes, even after you finish a task, you cannot ask them to check it. A large part of your workday is spent sitting at your desk with no idea what you can do. Before you have even become familiar with one task, they immediately assign another one to you. Some people may be able to tolerate this, but I personally could not, so I chose to resign.
