No advantages to the interview.
The equipment job posting said: work four days, take two days off; regular daytime shifts were also available.
After I was contacted for an interview, HR interviewed me... and then told me on the spot, “Well, this position is no longer available, so would you consider working as a production line operator?”
I was thinking to myself... If there was no position, why did you ask me to come for an interview? Was it just to say hello? And now I’m supposed to consider being a production line operator?
Was this interview just a disguised interview for another position? I came all this way for nothing, and was even asked whether I would consider being directly hired as a production line operator...
Even if there is a major shortage of operators, you shouldn’t treat interviewees this way. It’s dishonest.
