Pros

Thanks for your hard work, HR.

Cons

Now renamed PCCW Solutions British Virgin Islands–registered Yingxun Technology Co., Ltd., Taiwan Branch, Business Registration No. 28426436; they handle outsourced placements.

Because classmates and friends around me had come for interviews, and I had also received an invitation, I decided to take a look. Here is the conclusion:

1. They tell you that projects for Fubon, CTBC Bank, Cathay, and others are expanding, and that someone becomes a permanent employee every few months. They are very good at tricking people into coming for interviews. What many projects? A friend interviewed a few months before me and there was nothing—nothing at all, and no other people either. It is just a personal-data trap used to build up a contact list.

2. The image differs greatly from reality. The Taiwan branch operates under a completely different system, and the benefits are inconsistent; they just keep deflecting questions. They probably pulled back after they could no longer tolerate the losses.

3. The industry coverage is very broad. I heard this is supposed to enable more diverse development, with all kinds of technologies—a jack-of-all-trades type of company. However, when interviewing an engineer, it was obvious that they did not understand the operational details; everything was empty talk. They could not provide any useful professional opinions and made only verbal promises.

4. They themselves have no experience. The HR interviewer only wanted to ask about the development technologies and processes at my previous company, so I was actually the consultant. They should have paid me an hourly consulting fee.

5. Their descriptions of the division of responsibilities and the goals of the position were extremely vague. It was unclear whether the role involved development or maintenance. They told me to give it a try and emphasized that if I came, I had to be sure about it (I was not thinking that way).

6. They say that you can learn and grow here, but they clearly have no idea how to plan target KPIs, making me completely uninterested in working under them.

7. They use PUA tactics during interviews.

8. Every time I make my résumé available, I receive an interview invitation from this company. If I do not interview with them once, they will pester me to death. Since they wanted me to come, I came.

I really, really do not recommend this company. Although I only came to check it out, anyone seriously looking for a job or trying to make money should consider spending their time elsewhere.
