I really can't think of any advantages.
The design space is constrained by the entire company's laypeople.
The current boss is a layperson who took over later and has no professional expertise. Everything is handed over to a long-serving purchasing employee who boasts of extensive experience in the apparel industry, despite clearly having zero design expertise. The boss handling the China-side business also knows absolutely nothing about apparel design.
Overall, unless you are completely out of options, don't go here. Even designers with over a decade of experience eventually leave. New designers are treated as resources with an expiration date; once they have been used up, you will be asked to leave. That's all, thank you.
