Every month’s salary includes “performance pay,” but there are no standards for evaluating performance—it is entirely based on the boss’s personal judgment and mood. As a result, there is a certain margin of error in the salary every month. This was never mentioned during the interview, so receiving the salary felt like being completely deceived.

The boss spent some time in China before returning to Taiwan to establish the company. The company uses a Chinese factory-style management approach, so anyone who wants to experience this kind of culture can give it a try.

The actual job duties were basically not much different from what was discussed during the interview. However, it was impossible to talk with colleagues during working hours, because whenever the boss heard someone talking, that person would be asked to “help” with tasks unrelated to their professional skills.

The factory and office are located separately at two different places within the same industrial park, in different buildings. However, you had to be careful about what you said during work, because I once “dreamed” that both the office and factory had monitoring systems, leaving no privacy at all. Keywords I mentioned to colleagues in the morning would be mysteriously brought up by the boss during an afternoon meeting.

The official schedule is a two-day weekend, but whether you are on vacation, off work, taking leave, or even on sick leave, you are still required to respond online to customers’ questions. Regardless of the type of leave you take—or even after work—the boss will send messages to “assign” work tasks.

Oh, right! I also “dreamed” that another company, Shou X Co., Ltd., and X Chi Enterprise, were run by the same person. Job seekers should exercise caution, and newcomers should be especially careful. You will not learn professional skills here; if you have better options, I recommend going to another company. However, if you want to develop godlike adaptability and patience, you can come here.
