The salary is fairly high
The restroom is clean
There is a convenience store
If all you want is to go to work and go home with no leisure or entertainment at all, this place is very suitable for you
This is the Hsinchu Hukou plant
The guards are very nice
You constantly have to endure a lot of criticism and scolding
A whole lot of verbal and workplace bullying
They start belittling you
They think hiring two operators would be better than hiring you
They think you’re useless
They think it makes no difference whether you’re there or not
If I’m really that bad,
why doesn’t management deal with me through established procedures?
Why do you still need to resort to vigilante justice?
They start telling people in other departments all sorts of things about you
Gradually,
you’ll start working alone
When something happens, they start passing the buck
Then their mood swings become very intense—
so intense that they think it’s acceptable to throw papers at me,
and even make me pick them up. I don’t know what kind of values that comes from. They won’t apologize to you either. The seniority system is extremely severe: just because they can do something doesn’t mean you can, including bullying you. They also have a bad attitude, are impatient, treat people like air, and ignore them. All of this is normal here.
You might think you can talk things through with them properly,
but they aren’t willing to either,
because they simply don’t care about you as a person.
Whether they’ll talk things through with you
depends on their mood.
This only lets them know what you’re thinking,
while you still don’t understand what they’re thinking.
You might say,
“You could buy them a drink or some food.
Surely then they’d tell you, right?”
Not at all.
When they’re out,
they buy other people things costing seven or eight thousand dollars.
Do you really think they care about the price of a drink?
Pretty bizarre, right?
Maybe they feel a sense of superiority from verbal bullying.
After all, they don’t have much leisure or entertainment.
Mocking people has become part of their entertainment.
Even though we’re at the same level,
they act as if they were my supervisor,
scolding me in a supervisor’s tone.
After reading this, do you still want to come here?
