1. There are computers, but they are absolutely terrible.

2. The computers often crash. If the computer assigned to you looks old, you’d better start praying.

3. More accurately, new desktop computers or laptops should be assigned according to the needs of new employees. New employees can choose a MacBook or a branded laptop.

4. Speaking of MacBooks makes me angry. Procurement only bought a handful of them. Every time I see people from other departments with one, I get really envious. I can only use an assembled computer that crashes all the time. This is a software company, you know.

5. For a company that is supposedly going public and seeking a stock listing, the equipment is unbelievably stingy.

6. Be careful in some departments. Senior employees especially like to mess with newcomers. They neither teach nor demonstrate; they only give you a shock-based education.

7. Employee turnover is extremely high. I’ve seen capable new colleagues whom I got along well with and with whom I frequently exchanged technical knowledge, so I learned quite a lot. Yet they ended up leaving in less than three months. From asking around privately, I heard that senior employees had harassed them until they quit.

8. In some departments, senior employees only give motivational speeches and constantly draw up grand visions, but expect you to produce results.

9. You’d better pray that you get assigned to a good department.

10. The company’s description on 104 says that there are cookies, snacks, drinks, fruit, coffee, and milk. There are! But the snacks are completely insufficient.

11. For example, suppose the company has 200 people and only 50 bags of snacks per week. What are you supposed to do? Snack mathematics: 50 (bags) / 5 (Monday through Friday) = 10. The little angels put 10 bags on the table each week for everyone to fight over; first come, first served. Are 10 bags a lot? With all the employees rushing to grab them, the odds of winning are extremely low.

12. What about the drinks? There are some! But the drinks are completely insufficient too. Just like above, the odds of winning are extremely low.

13. I absolutely love the days when the beverage vendor and snack supplier restock, because that’s when the odds are highest.

14. I’m always furious on Fridays and Mondays: there is ab-so-lute-ly-noth-ing. How exactly are the drinks and snacks distributed?
