Low pay with minimal paid leave

1. The company name includes the word “Technology,” but the work it does is basically in the traditional retail industry—quite backward.

2. The company equipment is old and terrible. There is no laptop allowance, so you either have to buy one yourself or use the company computers, which take around five minutes to boot up.

3. The boss’s thinking is probably stuck 20 years in the past. For example, they might say, “The best way to succeed is to ‘imitate’.” ??????? I’m completely baffled—LOL. We’re living in an era when startups are everywhere, yet the owner of this company is still running it with the mindset of a night-market wholesaler?

4. Basically, the only benefit is that occasionally you get a cup of bubble tea (but you can’t order anything over NT$50~ Muah~).

5. If you call for an additional year-end banquet bonus, the boss’s wife will loudly scold you.

6. After the advertising department meets its performance target, the bonus gets withheld~~ They’ll use all kinds of excuses to avoid paying you, hehe. In the end, only after you can’t take it anymore and resign do they say they’ll pay it.

7. The salary is forever only at a “fresh graduate” level.

8. The boss loves to say, “We follow the Labor Standards Act~ We absolutely comply with the law,” but at work, they make you do the work of two jobs while paying you for one. Have you ever heard of a graphic designer being asked to take on the marketing of an entire brand? LOL
