The work is fairly simple.
Most colleagues are pretty easy to get along with.
I was a store employee and worked there for about half a year.
The store rules are all set by headquarters, but many of them are quite unsuitable for frontline staff. For example, when customers place orders online and pick them up at the store, the rules require us to print the order and have the customer sign it in front of us, then go to the stockroom to retrieve the items. When it's busy, it really makes you want to curse headquarters.
There are so many stupid rules requiring us to keep printing and signing unnecessary forms that the entire counter ends up covered in paperwork.
During inventory counts, we have to work excessive overtime—beyond the number of overtime hours permitted by labor law. The store manager even hints that we should continue working after clocking out.
The supervisors spend almost the entire day in the office dealing with boring tasks mandated by headquarters.
