My supervisor has been complaining privately about that female manager for a long time. She still thinks everyone supports her, which is pretty funny.

My supervisor said that after working here for many years, they have become accustomed to seeing senior managers form cliques behind the scenes to ostracize people they dislike. They privately approach the person being ostracized and tell her that they are doing their best to help, when in fact they are the very instigators of the ostracism. Just thinking about it is disgusting. Even more frightening is that some veteran employees and members of management have been treated this way. Even veteran executives have been subjected to this—it’s truly disgusting.

The company clearly prohibits outside employment, yet that female manager brought her own friend in to work, even though her friend has a full-time job elsewhere. That’s absolutely outrageous. Once, because her friend worked until very late, she even blamed the other managers for making her friend work so late and asked whether things could be provided earlier next time, saying that her friend had worked hard until 10 p.m. My supervisor is a full-time employee who works from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and I never heard that female manager make a peep about it. Her friend came in close to 5 p.m. and worked until 10 p.m.—only five hours. It’s absolutely ridiculous: when you have connections, the rules don’t apply.

Still, maybe we should believe the reviews?
