Pros

Uh, none.

Cons

1. During the interview, the boss exaggerated the size of the company.

2. The boss claimed to be very capable in business development, but there were no actual results to be seen.

3. There was absolutely no management or leadership method. Employees were left to fend for themselves. The company hired a decent manager, but the boss kept interfering in everything, so it was impossible to know whose instructions to follow.

4. When you made cold calls to well-known companies, the boss would constantly monitor you, asking about your progress and whether the other party was about to place an order. However, the company itself handled brands with extremely long lead times; when customers left or did not place orders, everything was blamed on the sales staff.

5. The company paid your monthly fuel and parking expenses by check. Payday was on the 5th, but you could not cash the check until the 15th. It was incredibly frustrating: they would issue a check for just NT$1,000–2,000 and then make you wait ten days. A strange company with a strange way of doing things.

6. Sales staff came and went constantly. After working for a little over a month, you would become the most senior employee. Very few people could stay, and the bonuses were merely something you could see but never receive—they were essentially nonexistent.

7. The applicants who came for interviews were all over the place. The boss often said he liked hiring people without electronics-industry experience, but in reality, he was just firing blindly: anyone who submitted a résumé could come for an interview, and almost anyone who interviewed could get hired. It only depended on whether you could stick around.

8. If you lived far from work, even buying breakfast to eat there would draw complaints, while the boss ate breakfast in the office himself. Every afternoon, you also had to help take out his trash. What he was looking for was not a sales representative, but an errand runner.

9. Experience the rest for yourself; it would take forever to describe it all.
