The HR staff were quite polite.

After the company’s HR department found my résumé on a job bank, they sent me an invitation and even thoughtfully called me first to explain the position. So I thought I’d give it a try and agreed to an online interview.

However, the manager conducting the interview immediately said that the job might be different from what I had imagined, and told me not to be attracted just because their base salary was high. They felt that, with my educational background and experience, I should be able to find another job with much better compensation. I was completely confused. You were the ones who invited me to the interview, and then the entire so-called interview was spent trying to discourage me from applying—what was the point?

I thought this farce had ended there, but the strangest thing was that about a week later, HR contacted me again to ask whether I was interested.

I really don’t understand at all？？？
