The pay is slightly higher than average.
Basically, they expect you to work as an unresisting laborer. Although the pay is slightly higher, the workload is completely disproportionate.
At the Taichung Guang San SOGO branch where I previously worked, the manager often loudly berated employees in front of everyone in the back-of-house area and frequently took out their anger on innocent bystanders. Employees with even a little experience were very disdainful toward newcomers. The atmosphere in the store was extremely poor.
There are an excessive number of petty rules, and even a minor failure to follow them results in a pay deduction.
