1. The company has beauty and personal care products such as fragrances, and the overall environment is small but nice.
2. The average age of the company’s employees is around 30–40.
1. One male and one female interviewer conducted the interview separately. The interview with the male manager was relaxed, but when it switched to the female manager, she asked for an excessive amount of information about my previous company. When I said I was not comfortable disclosing my previous salary, she looked extremely frustrated and said, “Companies in the industry all use your previous salary as a reference.” (I have never seen someone try to lowball a candidate without even pretending otherwise.) She also asked whether I received holiday bonuses, year-end bonuses, performance bonuses, and so on.
2. When asking about salary expectations, they said that compensation at their company consists of a base salary plus bonuses, and then asked again, “So, what salary are you expecting?” If you tried to ask in return approximately how much the average bonus was, or how much the previous bonus had been, they would play dumb and say that it varied each time, without saying how much it was.
3. They repeatedly emphasized that the company values teamwork, so employees may need to work overtime when there is a heavier workload or during major shopping events. They said it was a responsibility-based system, but did not say whether overtime pay was provided.
Conclusion: People who are interested in related beauty products and the e-commerce industry can give it a try.
