The work is very busy and demanding.
High-pressure management at work. Work starts at 8:00 a.m.; foreign workers have to go to the entrance at 7:30 a.m. to sweep, and Taiwanese employees hold a morning meeting at 7:45 a.m.
No matter how much salary you negotiate, overtime pay is calculated based on the basic salary. They are not afraid of you reporting them to the Labor Bureau; they are only afraid that you will be unable to keep working there.
Every matter is recorded as a deficiency. Three deficiencies result in one warning, and one warning deducts one day’s worth from the year-end bonus. The so-called year-end bonus is simply some of the overtime pay that was withheld from you during the year being paid back to you.
A company with more than 200 employees is split into three companies for management purposes, circumventing the Labor Standards Act and occupational safety management regulations. The law protects those who understand the law.
Leaving work on time? It seems unlikely to happen.
