If you are not particularly ambitious, it is a good place to coast until retirement.

It is supposedly a design company, but hardly anyone knows how to design, and the taste is bizarre.

Only a few people truly hold power in the company, and even assistants speak more loudly than people in other positions.

When those at the top say A, no one dares say B. After taking a few losses, you will learn that you absolutely cannot tell the truth—you will be targeted.

A bunch of people with no outside experience are using trial-and-error methods in-house. No one outside accepts this way of doing things; without connections, who would care about you?

Only a few people handle business development. The other salespeople just hold out their hands and maintain the existing business.

The company loves religious rituals; whenever it gets a good opportunity, it says the credit belongs to the rituals.

Assistants only need to be very good at helping out to be praised as “so great” (isn’t that their job?).

Even if you have nothing to do and go help out, you will be told that you are considering the company’s interests. Meanwhile, people who do their own work well and have no time to help are accused of lacking team spirit.

A company with fewer than 50 employees has its finance department acting as though it were directing a company of several thousand people.

The bosses are extremely biased. They especially like people who have little ability and only know how to agree with them. They talk about fairness as though everyone else were blind.

Overall, this company really does not have many major business problems. If you have connections and a strong backer, you will not have to worry about making a living.

But a few people fight among themselves every day, dragging the company down and preventing it from moving forward.

They keep a bunch of people with no performance or ability around; as long as you know how to curry favor with a few people, they will take good care of you.

I hope the people in power can gain clear insight and see the facts, instead of continuing to keep a bunch of yes-men around for the sake of “personnel stability.”
