The salary is quite good, with an annual bonus of around three to four months’ salary, a NT$20,000 travel allowance each year, and an additional seven days of company leave.
There are honestly too many drawbacks
1. Most managers are still using software technologies from ten years ago. The company has no software architecture or design principles whatsoever, leaving engineers to do whatever they want.
2. The products are highly customized, and software is almost always written separately for each machine. This results in too many software versions, making them difficult to maintain and expand.
3. The sales team accepts orders recklessly. Promised delivery dates are usually delayed, causing the software to remain unfinished. Even after the hardware is shipped to the customer, it keeps being modified, resulting in engineers constantly working overtime and traveling for business.
4. Almost all engineers with three to seven or eight years of experience have left, and the company now consists mostly of newcomers.
