A company that is extremely good at brainwashing and moral coercion. It constantly emphasizes how good it is to you and tells you that you should give more to the company: everyone is working so hard, so you should work even harder. As mentioned earlier, employees are expected to arrive 10 minutes early, but if you are a foreigner, you have to arrive 30 minutes early. The main point is that even office staff have to train in the restaurant for three months, supposedly to understand the company’s business, but in reality it is exploitation. During the training period, you also have to attend all kinds of meetings, and then prepare the meeting materials yourself at home on your own time. Of course, there is no overtime pay. What if a meeting is held on your day off? Naturally, you still have to proactively say that you can come in, to demonstrate your enthusiasm. It’s okay if you don’t come—but then you’ll be mocked for not loving the company enough.

Personally, I think the good deeds the company carries out are commendable, and I strongly support them, but they should not be semi-compulsory. Having to pay for your own volunteer uniform is really ridiculous. Also, employees have to pay for their own staff meals, but they’ll tell you that the boss is very good to us and lets us eat food costing over 200 at half price or at a discount. The main point is, aren’t staff meals in the food-service industry usually free?
