Does sending you a thank-you letter by post count as an advantage?
Referring only to an interview from one or two months ago, because I passed the written test.
1. The setup was very elaborate: there were six interviewers. I later looked up photos of the center and was surprised to discover that they might all have been senior officials.
2. Six senior officials showed up but did not say a thing. I had to ask questions before they would reveal anything about the job, including ON-CALL duties. There are also ten evaluations during the probationary period. If you fail, you can start preparing to look for your next job. Then someone from the HR horror organization might say that ON-CALL is very stressful. Even if you are not afraid of it, there is still a very high chance that you will not be hired in the end.
3. Based on point 2, it seems that organizations such as this XX Center, a non-profit legal entity, have also contracted the “capitalist big-head syndrome” during this pandemic—or perhaps this has always been a hereditary disease of this XX Center, but it has flared up more severely during the pandemic. Other candidates’ interviews lasted half an hour, so your interview will end hastily. Since you may end up in an awkward situation where neither side can come up with anything to ask, making it impossible to sound out the other party, the people from the HR horror organization and those senior officials who came to freeload on their salaries will conclude that you are not tasty enough and not submissive enough to exploit, further reducing your chances of being hired.
4. Anyone considering going to a non-profit legal entity such as this XX Center should be suspicious: these XX Centers may already be retirement homes for people with positions arranged in advance. They advertise XX openings and XX alternate candidates, but in reality they are hiring XX−N people, with that “−N” simply omitted from the hiring list shown to you. They might as well stop pretending. Sometimes there are not even any alternates, but it is also very possible that everything was arranged in advance as described above, so they simply leave the list blank for you to see.
