The only advantage... The company is very large and multinational.
- A family-owned business; during working hours, employees are often asked to handle miscellaneous tasks for the chairman/general manager.
- During my employment, all the company computers’ Windows 10 systems were pirated versions~ Cracking the OS activation was one thing, but the IT department’s shared folders often contained illegally cracked copyrighted files (including pirated instructional materials... showing no respect for legitimate licenses).
- The department regularly required overtime, but I was unable to claim the meal allowance that should have been provided!
(After working hours, many sales assistants and sales staff were still working overtime! This was completely different from what I was told during the interview—that overtime would not be required.)
- The environment was dirty and messy, with cockroaches; the candy at the entrance often included expired products.
- The restroom was very small (although it was cleaned by dedicated staff, people still had to wait when it was occupied).
- The work was complicated, and I was frequently asked to do things that had not been discussed during the interview.
(This was supposedly part of the supervisor’s assigned tasks, but many of them were strange miscellaneous duties, as mentioned above.)
- Even for professional work at Shin Lin, employees had to search the internet and teach themselves~~ The company placed no emphasis on professional training and had no system at all!
(If I wanted to work as though I were at Google, why would I apply to Shin Lin? I should have submitted my résumé to Google instead.)
- Weak antivirus and cybersecurity awareness; the internal email system was frequently placed on external organizations’ blacklists because of the poor usage habits of a few people.
- This workplace is suitable for people who are good at handling miscellaneous tasks.... If you want to learn professional knowledge from your work, this is not the place for you to learn; instead, you will be sacrificing your health to handle miscellaneous tasks for a huge organization.
