There are hardly any advantages, except that the location is convenient.
“Wearing a startup shell, but rotten Taiwanese corporate culture at its core”
▶Simply put, it pretends to be a startup. The boss doesn’t understand technology and only wants to cater to the market to make quick money. Features piled together from a bunch of custom projects are stuffed into the service software, while the company is unwilling to upgrade the hardware. The software crashes frequently, and everyone treats it as normal.
▶The systems are chaotic, policies change constantly, and turnover is high because the company cannot retain talent and does not respect professionalism.
▶It pursues cost-cutting in every aspect: squeezing outsourced workers, having no marketing budget, paying no overtime, and being even less willing to invest in hardware or software.
▶It is completely performance-driven. Combined with a strange BU system and performance-calculation methods, departments constantly shift the blame to one another.
▶Products are launched without conducting market research or testing. You will not see any proper product-development process at this company.
▶The boss is overly self-satisfied and spends all day thinking about “(conning their way into) an IPO.”
▶The benefits are pitiful. In addition, salaries are made up of strange bonuses piled together; in other words, taking a single day off will get you docked an absurd amount of money (wry smile).
This company only requires less than three months of your time to experience all kinds of helplessness and absurdity.
