Applied for a shipping position during the interview but was later transferred to receiving.
Results after two weeks on the job:
1. During the interview, they said overtime was available, but after reporting for work, they said new employees could not work overtime because they did not yet generate value.
(Is the statement in the job posting that overtime pay is calculated separately a lie?)
2. When overtime was required, the supervisor asked, “Are you really that short of money?”
3. The supervisor always makes sarcastic remarks.
4. During the interview, they spoke highly of you, but after you reported for work, they did not even want to acknowledge you.
5. When there are work-related problems, you are in trouble whether you ask a senior employee or not.
5. It also takes time to work independently (warehouse receiving, keying in data, reconciliation)—about half a year. Before then, you can only receive the base salary.
6. Everyone always works separately, with no interaction at all, especially new employees. They expect you to learn quickly but do not teach you.
7. Supervisors and frontline employees are always adversaries.
