They “actively” invited me to an interview by phone, yet during the interview that same day, they still managed to ask pointless questions like, “You studied at xxx University—why would you want to attend a school like that?” I asked HR, “Do you know this school?” HR: “I looked it up online, more or less.”

(Yeah, I looked up your company too.)

HR’s communication skills were also terrible. They really liked leading people into saying things and then nitpicking their wording, and their attitude was extremely forceful. I couldn’t tell whether they were interviewing me for a position or arguing with a middle school student.

Moreover, from the phone call and email through the end of the interview that day, they never mentioned working hours or “salary”—the most basic conditions of recruitment—not even “a single word.”

Overall, it felt more like they were trying to find out information about the interviewee’s previous company. It’s truly remarkable that a company could invite someone to an interview like this and still be so unprofessional. They not only wasted the interviewee’s time but their own as well; that really takes some doing.
