Pros

1. Most frontline colleagues are relatively young and energetic.

2. One-hour flexibility in starting and finishing work.

3. Close to the MRT station.

4. You can browse the store if you feel tired at work.

5. There are quite a lot of places to eat nearby.

That’s about all...

Cons

1. Although it is affiliated with the Hon Hai Group, it does not provide any of Hon Hai’s benefits. Instead, there are many of Hon Hai’s annoying rules and systems.

2. The top executive comes from a finance and accounting background and is cost-control oriented in everything. Even now, you still have to calculate how much paper you need, take it to the copier, and put it in yourself; once you run out, you have to register to receive more.

3. The workforce is not large, but the organization is unnecessarily layered. Some older managers have the mindset that those in higher positions are automatically more knowledgeable.

4. The manager of the department I worked in always put senior management’s instructions first. You were not allowed to question or ask about them; otherwise, they would say you had a bad attitude and refused to follow instructions.

5. They are very good at comforting themselves by saying that their salary levels are mid-range in the industry, but when hiring, they cut salaries as much as possible.

6. Some middle- and senior-level managers are completely incapable of self-reflection. They simply wait for subordinates to complete the work they should be doing. Once you finish their assignments, they take them upstairs to report to their superiors as if they were their own achievements.

7. The most serious issue, and the one I found most unacceptable, is that the department manager has no professional expertise in the department they oversee. They constantly ask subordinates, “What should we do?” After subordinates offer suggestions, if the manager thinks senior management will reject them, they will do everything possible to humiliate you. They offer no encouragement, only an overwhelming sense of frustration, despite lacking even basic professional competence themselves.

8. The manager of the department I worked in was very good at using their authority to take advantage of every possible benefit, and even used improper methods to evade company regulations.

If you still have a choice in life, don’t enter this place lightly. Frontline staff are worked to death while senior management sits back and waits for results. The whole company is seriously corrupt.
