An excellent stepping-stone company (as the predecessors mentioned above said).
You can learn many valuable skills (it’s very demanding).
If you’re interested in advancing into the game industry, you can stay for a year, or at least until one project is successfully launched before leaving. (The premise is that the project doesn’t become interminably delayed, since the company will cancel projects.)
Aside from the high pressure, tight deadlines, low pay, and routine overtime, I’ll only discuss the aspect of resigning as a drawback.
You may be told to leave with inexplicable haste.
If I could relive my resignation experience, I think I would have told my supervisor that I needed to work one more day (even if it meant having my job-search leave deducted).
I believe this point must be told to everyone: all the practice works and documents you create at that company can later be used as part of your portfolio!!! (Very important)
As long as you avoid violating confidentiality agreements, you can make appropriate modifications so that the project details cannot be identified.
If you don’t use a USB drive to copy the entire work folder, you’ll be the one suffering later.
At the time, I had kind and helpful colleagues who were willing to help me back up the materials.
After this resignation experience, I believe that next time a supervisor suddenly and inexplicably asks me to leave, I’ll tell them that I still need a full day (yes, including the following day). Even if I only collect my belongings that day, I’ll still come back the next day with a USB drive or portable hard drive to retrieve the data (of course, I can’t do it too openly).
Although I’ve said this many times, it still needs to be repeated: the things the company asks you to make are still things you made yourself.
If you don’t organize them or keep copies at the time, you’ll always be the one regretting it later!!
