The interviewer was absolutely terrible! Extremely unprofessional!
I received an interview invitation from “悅以國際股份有限公司” through 104. When I arrived at the specified floor, I couldn’t find an office with that company’s name. I only found out after calling to ask that it was the one with boxes piled up at the entrance; there was no sign whatsoever.
After I entered and explained why I was there, a young, cute girl very politely asked me to wait briefly at the entrance while she went to get someone. As a result, a gender-neutral-looking woman who walked over with the young girl was not wearing a mask, had a very unpleasant expression, and brusquely told me to enter the meeting room she led me to. The meeting room was smaller than one of the individual restrooms in a metro station, and was filled with boxes and miscellaneous items. The table was also extremely dirty. Up to that point, I was still keeping my composure.
After waiting in the meeting room for about five minutes, a casually dressed woman with a side ponytail entered. Her hands were empty—she only had a phone—and she did not introduce herself or state her position at all. Her appearance and attitude were completely unlike those of an interviewer!
I had brought my own résumé, so I proactively handed it to her. This woman did not let me introduce myself at all. She simply looked at my résumé and asked the questions she wanted to ask, such as: “Can you do planning?” and “Can you coordinate with KOLs?” She asked only about five questions in total, and every one of them was already answered on my résumé! After asking what she wanted to ask, she said, “Okay, we’ll probably notify you of the result in about a week.” I was stunned. The whole process took less than five minutes, right?! On top of that, she did not explain the duties of the position, the company’s benefits system, or anything else!
I immediately asked her about these things. She only replied, “The job duties are the same as what’s written on 104. As for the benefits, ask HR when they call you,” and then hurriedly ushered me out!
So incredibly rude! The interview lasted only five minutes?! And I traveled there from Taoyuan, spending time and transportation costs, only for the interviewer to treat it so casually! The most important point is that they were the ones who sent the interview invitation! Did they not read my résumé at all?! Absolutely terrible!
The more I thought about it after leaving, the more something felt wrong! Before entering, when I called to ask for the company’s location, the phone recording identified the company as “品辰傳媒股份有限公司,” but the company that invited me to the interview was “悅以國際股份有限公司.” I immediately Googled it and found that both are indeed in the Huashi Building. Regardless, the main point is that the interviewer’s attitude was extremely terrible! Absolutely awful!
