The interviewer was absolutely terrible! Extremely unprofessional!
I received an interview invitation from “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” through 104. When I arrived at the specified floor, I couldn’t find an office with that company name. After calling to ask, I learned that it was the office with boxes piled up at the entrance; there was no sign at all.
After I entered and explained why I was there, a young, cute girl very politely asked me to wait briefly at the entrance while she went to get someone. The androgynous-looking woman who walked over with her was not wearing a mask, had a very unpleasant expression, and rudely told me to enter the meeting room she led me to. The meeting room was even smaller than an individual restroom in a metro station, packed with boxes and miscellaneous items, and the table was extremely dirty. Up to this point, I was still keeping my composure.
After waiting in the meeting room for about five minutes, a casually dressed woman with a side ponytail entered. Her hands were empty—she only brought her phone—and she did not introduce herself at all. Neither her appearance nor her attitude suggested that she was an interviewer!
I had brought my résumé, so I proactively handed it to her. This woman did not let me introduce myself at all. She simply looked at my résumé and asked the questions she wanted to ask, such as: “Can you do planning?” and “Can you coordinate with KOLs?” She only asked about five questions in total, and every answer was already written on my résumé! After asking everything she wanted to ask, she said, “Okay, we’ll probably notify you of the result in about a week.” I was stunned. The whole process took less than five minutes, right?! She also completely failed to explain the job responsibilities, the company’s benefits system, or anything else!
I immediately asked about these things, but she only replied, “The job duties are just as written on 104. As for the benefits, ask HR when they call you.” Then she hurriedly ushered me out!
How incredibly rude! Was the interview really only five minutes?! I traveled all the way from Taoyuan and spent time and transportation costs getting there, yet the interviewer treated it so casually! The most important thing is that they were the ones who sent the interview invitation in the first place! Did they not even read my résumé?! Absolutely terrible!
The more I thought about it after leaving, the more something felt wrong! Before entering, when I called to ask where the company was, the phone recording identified it as “Pinchen Media Co., Ltd.,” but the company that invited me to interview was “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” I immediately Googled it and found that they are indeed both located in the Huashi Building. Regardless, the point is that the interviewer’s attitude was extremely poor! Absolutely awful!
