The interviewer was absolutely terrible! Extremely incompetent!
I received an interview invitation from “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” through 104. When I arrived at the specified floor, I couldn’t find an office with that company name. Only after calling to ask did I learn that it was the one with boxes piled up at the entrance; there was no sign whatsoever.
After I entered and explained why I was there, a young, cute girl very politely asked me to wait briefly at the entrance while she went to get someone. As a result, a gender-neutral-looking woman who came over with her first entered without wearing a mask. She also had a sour expression and, in an unfriendly tone, told me to go into the meeting room she led me to. The meeting room was smaller than one of the individual restrooms in a metro station, and it was filled with boxes and miscellaneous items. The table was extremely dirty too. Up to this point, I was still keeping my composure.
After waiting in the meeting room for about five minutes, a casually dressed woman with a side ponytail entered. Her hands were empty—she only brought her phone—and she did not introduce herself or state her position at all. Her appearance and attitude did not resemble those of an interviewer in the slightest!
I had brought my résumé, so I took the initiative to hand it to her. This woman did not let me introduce myself at all. She simply looked at my résumé and asked the questions she wanted to ask, such as: “Can you do planning?” and “Can you coordinate with KOLs?” She only asked about five questions in total, and all of them were already answered on my résumé! After asking what she wanted to ask, she said, “Okay, we’ll probably notify you of the result in about a week.” I was dumbfounded. The whole process took less than five minutes, didn’t it? What’s more, she did not explain the duties of the position, the company’s benefits, or anything else!
I immediately asked her about it. She only replied, “The job duties are the same as what’s written on 104. As for the benefits, ask HR when they call you,” and then hurriedly ushered me out!
How incredibly rude! The interview lasted only five minutes?! I came all the way from Taoyuan and spent time and money on transportation, yet the interviewer treated it so casually! The most important point is that they were the ones who sent the interview invitation in the first place! Did they not read my résumé at all? Absolutely incompetent!
After I left, the more I thought about it, the more suspicious it seemed! Before entering, when I called to ask for the company’s location, the phone recording identified the company as “Pinchen Media Co., Ltd.,” but the company that invited me to the interview was “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” I immediately Googled it and found that both were indeed located in the Huashi Building. Regardless, the key point is that the interviewer’s attitude was absolutely awful! Completely rotten!
