The interviewer was absolutely terrible! Such an awful experience!

I received an interview invitation from “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” through 104. When I arrived at the specified floor, I couldn’t find an office with that company name. Only after calling to ask did I learn that it was the one with boxes piled up at the entrance; there was no signage at all.

After I entered and explained why I was there, a young, cute girl very politely asked me to wait briefly by the entrance while she went to get someone. As a result, a gender-neutral-presenting woman who came over with the young girl was not wearing a mask, had a very unpleasant expression, and brusquely told me to enter the meeting room she led me to. The meeting room was even smaller than the individual restrooms in a metro station, packed with boxes and miscellaneous items, and the table was extremely dirty. Up to that point, I was still keeping my composure.

After waiting in the meeting room for about five minutes, a casually dressed woman with a side ponytail entered. Her hands were empty—she only brought her phone—and she did not introduce herself at all. Her appearance and attitude were completely unlike those of an interviewer!

I had brought my résumé, so I proactively handed it to her. This woman did not let me introduce myself at all; she simply looked at my résumé and asked the questions she wanted to ask, such as, “Can you do planning?” and “Can you coordinate with KOLs?” She only asked about five questions in total, and all of them were things already stated on my résumé! After asking what she wanted to ask, she said, “Okay, we’ll probably notify you of the result in about a week.” I was dumbfounded. The whole process took less than five minutes, didn’t it?! What’s more, she did not explain the responsibilities of the position, the company’s benefits, or anything else!

I immediately asked about these things, but she only replied, “The job duties are just as written on 104. As for the benefits, ask HR when they call you,” and then hurriedly sent me out!

So rude! Was the interview really only five minutes?! I traveled there from Taoyuan, spending time and transportation costs, yet the interviewer treated it so casually! The key point is that they were the ones who invited me to interview! Did they not look at my résumé at all?! Absolutely terrible!

The more I thought about it after leaving, the more something felt wrong! Before entering, when I called to ask about the company’s location, the phone recording identified the company as “Pinchen Media Co., Ltd.,” but the company that invited me to the interview was “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” I immediately Googled it and found that they are indeed both located in the Huashi Building. Regardless, the main point is that the interviewer’s attitude was extremely poor! Absolutely awful!
