The interviewer was absolutely awful! Extremely incompetent!
I received an interview invitation from “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” through 104. When I arrived at the specified floor, I couldn’t find an office with that company name. Only after calling to ask did I learn that it was the office with cardboard boxes piled up at the entrance; there was no signage whatsoever.
After entering and explaining why I was there, a young, cute girl very politely asked me to wait briefly at the entrance while she went to get someone. The gender-neutral-looking woman who came over with her was not wearing a mask, had a very unpleasant expression, and rudely told me to enter the meeting room she led me to. The meeting room was smaller than an individual restroom stall at a metro station, and was piled high with cardboard boxes and miscellaneous items. The table was also extremely dirty. Up to this point, I was still keeping my composure.
After waiting in the meeting room for about five minutes, a casually dressed woman with a side ponytail entered. Her hands were empty—she only brought her phone—and she did not introduce herself or state her position at all. Her appearance and attitude did not resemble those of an interviewer whatsoever!
I had brought my own résumé, so I proactively handed it to her. This woman did not let me introduce myself at all. She simply looked at my résumé and asked the questions she wanted to ask, such as, “Can you do planning?” and “Can you coordinate with KOLs?” She asked only about five questions in total, and every one of them was already answered on my résumé! After asking what she wanted to ask, she said, “Okay, we’ll probably notify you of the result in about a week.” I was stunned. The entire process took less than five minutes, didn’t it? What’s more, she did not explain the job duties, the company’s benefits system, or anything else!
I immediately asked her about these things. She only replied, “The job duties are the same as what’s written on 104. As for the benefits, ask HR when they call you,” and then hurriedly ushered me out!
So incredibly impolite! The interview lasted only five minutes?! I came all the way from Taoyuan and spent time and money on transportation, yet the interviewer treated it so casually! The key point is that they were the ones who sent me the interview invitation! Do they not look at résumés at all? Absolutely terrible!
The more I thought about it after leaving, the more something seemed wrong. Before entering, when I called to ask for the company’s location, the phone recording identified the company as “Pinchen Media Co., Ltd.,” but the company that invited me to the interview was “Yueyi International Co., Ltd.” I immediately Googled it and found that they are indeed both located in the Huashih Building. Regardless, the main point is that the interviewer’s attitude was extremely terrible! Absolutely the worst!
