光田醫療社團法人光田綜合醫院
Pros

The job is definitely not healthcare-related. The only good thing is that you don't have to pay registration fees when seeing a doctor, so during my employment I went to the Chinese medicine clinic every week for treatment and to take care of my health. The supervisor was a very nice person; if you made a mistake, they would not harshly criticize you, but would work with you to find a solution. Colleagues would also help and care for one another, with no small cliques or backstabbing.

Cons

Not only do they not provide meal allowances, they also deduct NT$600 from your salary and force you to purchase meals provided by a hospital partner (and they taste terrible).

It is a family business. The people in charge are all second- or third-generation members, and policies can change from day to day. You will also interact with colleagues from other departments (including medical departments), who are difficult to get along with. Most people in the medical departments have a condescending attitude.

The workload is not light. For a salary under NT$30,000, they require you to take responsibility for your work without paying overtime. In addition, if you have worked there for less than two years, you must pay for your own uniform (the total cost is in the five-figure range).

The environment is very poor: when it rains heavily outside, it drizzles indoors. You have to wait two years for a spot to become available in the motorcycle parking lot, so you can only park along nearby streets; if you get a ticket, that's your problem. Because it is so difficult to find a motorcycle parking space, being one minute late also results in a salary deduction, and that's your problem too. I heard that they are currently building a new hospital campus, so you can hope that the environment will improve after 2022.

If you can accept all of the above, you could stay there long-term and retire there.
