Attitude was acceptable
After seeing on a job bank that I had applied for a customer service position at an online-only bank, a specialist from your company called me. The conversation was as follows:
I currently live in Taichung. They asked me whether I would need to rent accommodation in Taipei. I said no. They asked whether I could work shifts. I said yes.
They asked whether my insurance licenses were still with another company. I replied that, if I were hired, I would of course prioritize the bank! Yet they dismissively said:
“So your licenses are still with another company. In that case, there are no suitable positions for you.” (It was already clear from my résumé, wasn’t it? Then why call me? Their words made no sense at all.)
I asked what they meant and said that I could cooperate with the bank. They then said that it felt like I had no enthusiasm for working in customer service and that I was unsuitable. Why call me just to say that I wasn’t okay?
The conversation and manner of speaking were extremely unprofessional. The entire process was utterly bewildering and made me feel very uncomfortable!
